The company can change its name by passing special resolution with majority of the shareholders vote for the change. A copy of the signed special resolution and a copy of the amended memorandum and articles must be sent to Companies House together with a fee of £10.
Should the change of company name is urgent; you may opt for the Same Day Change service for only £50. You must send the documents to Companies House before 3pm and if the Registrar accepts the documentations, they will issue the altered certificate of incorporation on the same day.
The change of name is effective from the date of the issue by the Registrar of an altered Certificate of Incorporation.
